2011 SCOTTVILLE HARVEST FESTIVAL CELEBRATES 100 YEARS WITH AN EXCITING LINEUP OF FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT, TEEN EVENTS AND CARNIVAL

The Scottville Harvest Festival committee is excited to announce that there are many great events planned for the 100th Anniversary Festival, scheduled for September 15 – 17.

After community feedback and hours of research, Family Fun Tyme Carnival of Galesburg, MI has been secured. The small carnival will be operating Thursday – Saturday. Thursday will be dollar night for festival attendees.

For the first time, the festival is now accepting entry forms for the first annual Harvest Festival Bed Races scheduled for Saturday at noon leading up to the Grand Parade. Teams of five will compete for the 1st place trophy. Applications are now available online.

In an effort to provide more events for area teenagers a dance will be held and AGA Nation has been secured for Saturday. The teen dance will be held in the Entertainment tent on Thursday evening following the Queen’s coronation. AGA Nation will hold Skate clinics with a pro skateboarder and a BMX team demo and ramps on Saturday following the parade.

Todd Sorenson Promotions is hosting the second annual Old Fashion Demo Derby at Riverside Park.

More activities continue to be added to the line up in preparation for the 100th anniversary. To join in the planning, join us for the next planning meeting on Tuesday, April 26 at 5:30 pm at South Main Tavern.
